Protein Smoothie: The Perfect Brainy Breakfast

This breakfast has it all! Healthy, energising fats to keep blood sugar stable, whey for a mood boost, egg yolks to pack in the vitamins and minerals and spices/cocoa for antioxidants. Give it a try, we promise you’ll be flying!

Serves: 1


  • 1 tsp of coconut oil (melted)
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 scoop whey protein (we use Pulsin, Now or Solgar) 
  • 2 tsp organic cocoa
  • 1⁄2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Almond milk or water to mix
  • Xylitol, raw honey or Sweetleaf Stevia (to taste)


  • Handful frozen berries


  1. Blend the coconut oil and egg yolks in a blender.
  2. Add in the protein powder, cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla and berries (if adding) and mix again.
  3. Add desired amount of water/unsweetened almond milk and sweetener to make your perfect smoothie.
