At Fitter Food we LOVE ketchup but unfortunately many out there are full of added sugar which we try to avoid as often as we can BUT that does not mean we can’t have it, we just simply make our own. Check out this smokey twist we made recently. Tastes fantastic and is so easy to make, you can whack it together whilst dinner is in the oven. You can keep this in the fridge for 3-4 days in an air tight container.
Quick Kickin Ketchup
- 100g tomato puree
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 6 tbsp water
- 1-2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbs xylitol
- Himalayan pink/Celtic Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Simply mix all the ingredients together and stir thoroughly. For best results make the day before to bring out the full flavour. Simply add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
