Hot Cross Porridge

When it’s cold and wet outside we love nothing more than a nice warming bowl of porridge.

As it’s also Easter weekend we thought we’d add some hot cross bun inspired ingredients. Bursting with flavour and the spices and cinnamon add lots of anti-inflammatory goodness.

A great post workout breakfast. Enjoy it fitties.


  • 140g porridge oats
  • 300ml coconut or almond milk
  • 250-300ml water
  • 30g sultanas
  • Zest of 1 clementine
  • 1 scoop of natural whey powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 banana


  1. Combine all the ingredients except for the banana together in a saucepan on a low/medium heat
  2. Keep stirring until you reach the desired consistency
  3. Slice the banana and add to the top however this is optional
  4. Top with some more cinnamon and clementine zest and enjoy
