A Guide to Health
I just celebrated my 44th birthday. It makes me so sad that I have spent many of those years trying to look like and be someone else. Trying to change my stomach, my teeth, my hair, my running PBs… the…

Before heading off to Portugal last summer for my solo retreat I downloaded some books on mindset and healing. I use a combination of recommendations and reviews to find new things and I stuck them in Audible. Shortly after arriving,…
I recently ordered a set of blood tests as an annual health check. I asked Matt whether he’d like a test ordering and he responded with… ‘meh, not really’ I understand why, we’ve just paid out for some car…
Our favourite guest Dr Tommy Wood is back on the show and we discussed diet and cholesterol, the benefits of cardio and touched on the carnivore diet and whether there is a need for vegetables. Dr Tommy Wood will…
The minute I turned 16 my body was up for commentary. It led to hours wasted staring in mirrors trying to figure out what to change and how. For almost 3 decades my weight swung around by a couple…
You’ve probably realised by now I love my kettlebells, running, walking, and yoga. Exercise is a daily feature in my life and never fails to transform me mentally. So obviously my biggest fear in life is losing the ability…
Many clients have reached out to me through each Lockdown experiencing hormone issues. Since being a teenager I’ve struggled with my own and experienced first hand how they impact your digestion, mood and skin too. Your hormones are cyclical and responsive. For…
I have TWO important questions for you. A fundamental part of your health revolves around the relationships in your life. Those you spend the most time with are of course some of the most important. Now that science has established the links between your nervous, immune and hormone systems it's clear that how you feel changes your biology, relationships significantly alter your dominant emotions and therefore your health.
A friend asked me recently how I stay motivated to eat healthily and exercise on a regular basis, I simply replied that "I'm lucky!" I'm lucky because I realised many years ago that I have two versions of myself. I know which one I want to be and being consistent with these habits ensures that's the case.
So I have a tattoo. I wish I could tell you that I spent hours contemplating this permanent print on my body but the truth is I googled some tattoo designs and just got it done. Why? Because I was unhappy and I desperately needed change in so many aspects of my life.
In my last blog I discussed how men tend to approach nutrition and whilst they have their “commandments” and attachments to condiments they’re generally speaking a little more laid back about the role nutrition plays in their health. Us ladies on the other hand are pro’s at making this a full time business alongside other demanding roles in our lives, like having a career, being a mother, sister, friend, etc. I’ve been totally guilty of this myself in the past, if you bring on the detail I will over analyse, overwhelm, over Google and overthink all of it!
Lately my newsfeed keeps me telling to “Get Lean Legs!” and offering the promise of super slim thighs in six weeks. Can I be honest? It all makes me sigh a little. Don't get me wrong, I’m actually quite a fan of the 'bro-science' and articles out there about reducing lower body fat. Particularly because a lot of the information is based upon supporting optimal hormone balance and detoxification, which can only be a good thing no matter what you’re health goal is. However, they’re often lacking a little feminine perspective for my liking!
