Lamb and Lentil Burgers with Whipped Feta


  • 500g lamb mince
  • 250g cooked lentils
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 3 heaped tsp. harissa spice
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1–2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • Whipped Feta

  • 100g feta
  • 100g fat free natural yogurt
  • ½ tsp harissa spice
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Pre heat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas mark 4.
  2. Prepare a baking tray for the burgers.
  3. Place all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Season with a little salt and pepper before combining thoroughly using your hands.
  4. Shape into 8 burger patties and place on the prepared baking tray. Place the burgers in the oven to cook for 25–30 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. To make the whipped feta, place the feta in a small bowl and mash with a fork, add the yogurt and whip with a fork or whisk until creamy. Stir through the harissa spice and season to taste with salt and pepper.
